The Senior Citizens of the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) will get their flannels pressed, boots dusted and their fitness levels into peak condition, to take part in the MCA Annual Over-40 Cricket 6s 2015 coming up on Sunday (10) at the MCA and D.S. Senanayake College grounds in Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo. Matches will commence at 8.30am on both days. Last year’s winners Hatton National Bank, last year’s runner-up Union Assurance, SriLankan Airlines, John Keells Group, Singer Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Telecom, NDB Bank, Sampath Bank, Hayleys Group and Airport and Aviation Services have so far confirmed participation. Special awards for the best batsman, bowler, most senior player, most sixes in the tournament and man-of-the-final will be on offer. The tournament is sponsored by Ceylon Cold Stores and will be played for the ‘Elephant House Lemonade Trophy’.
