The Galle Motorcross 2017 will take place at the Keselgashena Racing Track in Akmeemana, Galle on Sunday (19).
Leading motor racing riders of Sri Lanka and foreign riders will be taking part in this race along with the top riders from the three armed forces.
Sixteen races will be conducted at the event which is organised and conducted by the Sri Lanka Racing Drivers Association and Galle Racing Drivers Association.
The event will also include races in Under-10 and Under-13 age categories.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
