Sangeeth Suriyage, the winner of Supermotord 250cc and Open 450cc broke the all time national record at the recently concluded SLADA Championship held on December 5 at the Pannala International Race Circuit with a lap timing of 59.8 seconds.
In the Supermotard 250cc event Suriyage beat Kasun Danushka and Dushan Mudalige, who finished at second and third respectively.
In the Supermotard Open 450cc event Suriyage claimed victory against Deshan Solanki and Ananda Wedisinghe, who finished at second and third respectively.
Currently ranked as the No.1 in Supermotored, Suriyage had been in a winning spree in 2016 bagging the gold in Rotterdam Circuit Meet in November.
He went on to win again at the Mirigama Tarmac .
He is representing Heleebees Club, who have the most number of contestants in motor racing and prolific number of wins in the motor cycle and motor car categories.
Helebees Club riders are energised by Wild Elephant, Jat Holdings and Hero Honda.
