Sri Lanka has lost six out of seven games at the World Youth Netball Championships (WYNC) currently being held in Botswana.
Sri Lanka took part in the competition as champions of the Asian Youth Netball Championships held in Hong Kong 2015. Malaysia (runners-up) and Singapore (third place are also taking part in the event which concluded on Sunday (16).
Sri Lanka has lost so far to Singapore and Malaysia in ranking matches.
Sri Lanka lost to Singapore 36-63 and lost to Malaysia after a close fight 53-57.
In the first round Sri Lanka were classified into Group 'A' where Sri Lanka lost to Scotland 48-69, lost to Northern Ireland 44-56 and lost to Samoa 49-73.
Sri Lanka lost convincingly to New Zealand 15-125, which is a tournament record.
Meanwhile Singapore crashed to Australia by 115 to 19.
Sri Lanka was scheduled to meet Granada for the 19th spot last night.
Twenty teams are taking part in the tournament from five regions.
The final will be between defending champions New Zealand and defending runners-up Australia.
England will meet Fiji for the third place.
