Pakistan won the toss and put Sri Lanka into bat in the third and final Test which began a short while ago at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy today (3). Sri Lanka comes out with four changes replacing Kumar Sangakkara, Dushmantha Chameera, Rangana Herath and Kithruwan Vithanage with Upul Tharanga, Suranga Lakmal, Nuwan Pradeep and Jehan Mubarak. Pakistan too made four changes by calling in Shan Masood, Yasir Shah, Ehsan Adil and Imran Khan for Mohammad Hafeez, Junaid Khan, Wahab Riyaz and Zulfiqar Babar. The three-match Test series is leveled at 1-1. The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has interdicted Colombo Fort Magistrate Kosala Senadheera.
The Supreme Court today refused interim relief in an application filed by President’s Counsel Senaka Walgampaya seeking an Order from the Supreme Court compelling the President to appoint judges to fill the existing vacancies in the Court Of Appeal.
The deadline for online applications to the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination has been extended until July 12, the Department of Examinations said.
