CR and FC edged Police SC 23-22 in a thrilling second round match of the Dialog Division 'A' Inter-Club Rugby League Championship played at the Police Park today (11).
At halftime Police led 22-17 and the game was still in favour of the Cops closely before the final whistle at 22-20.
But a crucial penalty during the injury time put over by Ashan de Costa sealed a thrilling win for CR, who collected their points from three tries, a conversion and two penalties.
