Former Sri Lanka 7s skipper Rohan Abayakoon has been appointed as the Chairman of the Selection Committee of Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) according to its official website.
Abayakoon will lead a five-member panel that also includes L.V. Ekanayake, Leslie de Silva, Nishantha Chanaka and Kapila Knowlton.
The appointment of the SLR Selection Committee was sanctioned by the Ministry of Sports, and will be in effect until 2019.
Ajith Gallage, the owner of a Bird Park in Nagarawawa, Hambantota, has been remanded over allegations of concealing illegally imported motorcycles, in a warehouse owned by him.
