Havelocks Sports Club comprehensively defeated Army Sports Club 50-32 in the opening match of the Dialog Rugby League 2018/19 second round played at Ratmalana on Friday (4).
With the win, followed by the first round win, Havelocks retained the 'Yen Foo Pakstun Challenge Shield'.
Havies led the halftime by a comfortable 31-13 and went on to dominate the proceedings.
They scored from a total of eight tries and five conversions to earn bonus points.
Fullback Reeza Mubarak touched down twice while converting the five tries for the winners.
Eshan Ariyapala, Shenal Deelaka, Mithun Hapugoda, Azmir Fajudeen and skipper Niroshan Fernando scored a try each.
Army scored from five tries, two conversions and a penalty while also gaining bonus points.
Dhanushka Thalwatte scored a hat-trick for the losers while Sudaraka Dikkumbura and Asoka Jayalal scored a try each.
Gayan Salinda put over a conversion and a penalty while Isuru Medagedara put over a try.
