The Inter-Club Rugby Sevens Championship organised by Sri Lanka Rugby Union (SLRU) will take place this weekend (10 and 11) at the Racecourse ground in Colombo.
The two-day competition will feature 13 teams from eight clubs but the League and Knockout champions and title holders, Kandy SC, have opted not to filed a side this time.
CR and FC, CH and FC, Police SC, Navy SC and Air Force SC will field two teams each while Havelocks, Army SC and Petersons will play a team each.
The Group 'A' includes Navy 'A', Petersons and CH and FC 'B' while Group 'B' is formed by Air Force 'A'. Police 'A' and CR and FC 'B'.
The Group 'C' has CH and FC 'A', Army and Navy 'B' while Group 'D' includes four teams -- Havelocks, CR and FC 'A', Air Force 'B' and Police 'B'.
After the first leg which takes place on June 10 and 11, and the second leg will be played on June 17 and 18 at the Racecourse ground.
