Kandy SC overcame CR&FC by 38-26 in the crucial semi-final of the Dialog Clifford Cup Knockout Rugby Championship played at Pallekele today (21).
Kandy opened scored freely with centre Danushka Ranjan scoring a hat-trick as they led 22-7 at halftime.
In total Kandy scored from five tries, two conversions and three penalties.
CR made a gallant effort to make a comeback in the second half but eventually had to end up in the losing side with a tally of four tries and three conversions.
Kandy will meet the winner of the second final between Navy SC and Havelocks on Sunday at Longdon Place on Sunday (25).
