Defending champions Kandy SC had to fight hard to record a close 27-20 win against Police SC in a second round match of the Dialog Rugby League 2018/19 played at Police Park today (19).
Kandy led 24-10 at halftime but the Cops bounced back to give the eventual winners a scare before succumbing.
Kandy scored from four tries, two conversions and a penalty.
Police scored from three tries, a conversion and a penalty.
