Kandy SC overcame a tough resistance to emerge victorious over CR and FC in the second round match of the Dialog Division 'A' Inter-Club Rugby League Championship played at Longdon Place today (7).
Kandy took a commanding 28-8 lead at halftime but CR came out with a surprising attack in the second half to make the encounter an open affair.
Eventually Kandy managed to secure the win with a tally of five tries, two conversions and a drop goal, to obtain bonus points.
CR scored from a total of four tries, two conversions and a penalty.
