The Lanka Lions will be hoping to make an impression with extra power from two Fijians giving them the power at the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens this weekend as they make a serious bid to win the elusive Gulf Men's Open title.
Lanka Lions became the Cup runners-up in 2013 and were the semi-finalists last year.
After their morale boosting win two weeks ago at the Eden Park Sevens Series, the Lanka Lions are in full confidence to win their second tournament in a row.
Lanka Lions coach Richard Murcott is elated that the Fijians would be used to cause more impact though they were not short of firepower.
Three players -- Gayashan Wijayasinghe, Dilshan Gamage and Akalanka Dabare – are expected to make their debut at the Dubai Sevens for Lanka Lions.
