Powerful Kandy SC overcame Havelock SC 26-11 in the second round match of the Dialog Division 'A' Inter-Club Rugby League Championship played at Havelock Park on Sunday (5).
Defending league champions Kandy kept their title defence hopes intact as they scored from four unconverted tries, a penalty and a drop goal.
At halftime Kandy held on to a slender 8-6 lead.
Havelocks scored from an unconverted try and two penalties.
In the final week of the Dialog League Championship, Kandy SC takes on CH and FC at Maitland Place on Saturday (11) while Havelocks will meet Navy SC at Welisara on Sunday (12).
