Bahrain RFC, who toured Sri Lanka to play two friendly Rugby Football games during April, donated Rugby equipment to four selected Schools from the Western Province.
This was in appreciation and as a gesture of goodwill to cement relationships with Sri Lanka Rugby.
They also undertook a few coaching sessions and donated supplies to a orphanage and a elders home while they were here.
The Bahrain RFC donated the equipment through Agoal Rugby at a ceremony held on May 23 at the Havelocks Sports Club.
The equipment consisted of tackle bags, hit shields, rugby balls, rugby boots, agility poles, marker cones, playing gear, speed ladders, water bottles, foam rollers, water bottle carriers.
These were distributed among selected development schools in the Western Province and included C.W.W. Kannangara Vidyalaya, S. de S. Jayasinghe Vidyalaya, Carey College and Royal College Panadura.
