Malaysia beat Sri Lanka 22-9 to clinch the Asian Division I Rugby Championship in the decision game of the competition played in Ipoh, Malaysia today (20).
Sri Lanka played solidly in the first half and the first phase of the second half to contain the hosts as they led 6-5 at halftime.
Malaysia scored in the final 15 minutes of the game to take the control and win the game and the title.
Malaysia scored off three tries, two conversions and a penalty while Sri Lanka scored from three penalties, all converted by Thilina Wijesinghe.
