Sri Lanka Rugby Union (SLRU) selectors pruned down the national training squad for the Asian Rugby Championship Division I Tournament from 70 to 36 to be held in Malaysia in May.
The squad includes ten players from Navy SC, eight each from Kandy SC and Havelocks SC and two each from Police SC and Army SC.
Sri Lanka (40) is the top ranked side among Malaysia (54), Philippines (58) and the United Arab Emirates (72) who are competing in the tournament.
Sri Lanka will take on the Philippines on May 14, followed by games against the UAE on May 17 and Malaysia on May 20.
