South Korea beat Sri Lanka 31-26 after a close battle in a Group 'C' match of the 18th Asian Games 2018 played at Indonesia today (30).
South Korea led 17-7 at halftime and went on to complete with a win against the tough Sri Lankan unit with a tally of five tries and three conversions.
Sri Lanka scored from four tries and three conversions.
For Sri Lanka Srinath Sooriyabandara, Reeza Raffaideen, Buddhima Priyadarshana and Sudam Sooriyarachchi scored tries.
Sooriyabandara, Raffaideen and Sooriyarachchi made the conversions.
Earlier Sri Lanka recorded a smashing 68-0 win against the United Arab Emirates.
South Korea currently tops Group 'C' with two wins followed by Sri Lanka, who won a game and lost one.
Sri Lanka will take on Afghanistan on Friday (31) in their last Group 'C' match before the knockout stage.
Afghanistan beat UAE 36-0 before South Korea beat Sri Lanka today.
