Sri Lanka beat China 17-12 in the rugby Cup quarter-final match at the 18th Asian Games 2018 played at the GBK Rugby Field in Indonesia today (31).
China opened scoring but Sri Lanka bounced back to lead the first half by 17-5 and end game with a win and a berth in the Cup semi-final to be played on Saturday (1).
Sri Lanka scored from three tries and a conversion while China scored from two tries and a conversion.
Sudam Sooriyarachchi, Srinath Sooriyabandara and Reeza Raffaideen scored tries for Sri Lanka.
Earlier today competing in Group 'C' Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan (36-0) after thrashing United Arab Emirates 68-0 and losing narrowly to South Korea 31-26.
