Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) has made arrangements to honour former greats of the game and its life members on Sunday (15) alongside the closing ceremony of the Third Leg of the Asia Rugby 7s Series to be held at the Racecourse ground in Colombo.
Accordingly SLR will honour over 30 Rugby personalities with special awards for their contribution to the game and country.
Among the recipients to be honoured are Summa Navaratnam, Y.C. Chang, Gamini Fernando, Hemaka Amarasooriya, Malik Samarawickrama, Dr. Indrajith Coomersawamy, Dr. Maiya Gunasekara, Anton Benedict, Brig. Jupana Jayawardane (Rtd), Micheal Jayasekara, Saman Jayasignhe, Rohan Gunaratne, Grp. Cap. Nalin de Silva, Chandrishan Perera, Jagath Fernando, Mohan Balasiruya, Rudra Jayaprakash, Ajith Abeyratne, Jeff Ratnam, Angelo Wickramaratne, Hisham Abdeen, Frank Hubart, S.P. de Silva, SSP Ibrahim Hamid (Rtd), Dr. Hans Wijesuriya, Neil Wijeratne, Kumar Abeywardana, Jayantissa Ratwatte and Ken Murray.
Top International Rugby administrators are set to grace the occasion of the presentation awards according to SLR.
