Rugby: Sri Lanka thrash UAE 68-0 in Asian Games opener

Sri Lanka recorded a smashing 68-0 win against the United Arab Emirates in a Group 'C' match of the 18th Asian Games 2018 played in Indonesia today (30).

Sri Lanka recorded their win with 10 tries and nine conversions while leading the halftime by 28-0.

Kavindu Perera scored a hat-trick of tries while Srinath Sooyabandara and Danush Dayan braced twice each.

Skipper Sudarshana Muthuthanthri, Buddhima Priyadarshana and Sudam Sooriyarachchi scored a try each.

Tarinda Ratwatte made five conversions while Sooriyarachchi converted two and one each were converted by Sooriyabandara and Muthuthanthri.
