Sri Lanka will meet China in the fourth Cup quarterfinal today (2) after finishing off third in the Group 'B' behind Japan and South Korea in the first leg of the Asian 7s Rugby Series played in Hong Kong.
Sri Lanka recorded a thumping win against Chinese Taipei, 52-7, but lost to Japan by 5-33 and to South Korea by 14-24 after a close fight.
Japan, hosts Hong Kong and South Korea are among top contenders in the three-legged Asian 7s Rugby Series besides Sri Lanka, who are termed as the dark horses of the competition.
In the remaining Cup quarterfinal clashes hosts Hong Kong is set to meet Chinese Taipei, Philippines will take on South Korea and Japan is scheduled to meet Malaysia before Sri Lanka's decider.
