Prominent playmaker Sudarshana Muthuthanthri has been reappointed as skipper of the Sri Lanka 7s Rugby team for the upcoming Asian 7s Series.
Muthuthanthri took over Sri Lanka from Fazil Marija in 2015 and he was replaced by Danushka Ranjan last year, but the National Rugby Selectors have named him for a second tenure for this year's series.
The Sri Lanka 7s squad is yet to be finalised by the selectors, who will be looking out for a fitting outfit sans four experienced players including former skipper Marija and Anuruddha Wilwara.
The first leg of the three installments will be played in Hong Kong on September 1 and 2 followed by the remainders to be played in South Korea and Sri Lanka in weeks to follow.
