Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) released a 16-man squad for the upcoming Test series in Sri Lanka's tour to Australia, which will begin from January 13.
Dinesh Chandimal will continue as the captain of the Test side with opener Dimuth Karunaratne as his deputy.
With the unavailability of the injured Angelo Mathews, Sri Lanka has recalled Kusal Janith Perera into the Test side, where Lahiru Thirimanne also finds a place.
Sri Lanka will play a warm up game against Cricket Australia XI on January 17, 18 and 19 at Hobart before moving on to the two-match Test series.
The first Test will be played between January 24 to 28 at Brisbane followed by the second Test from February 1 to 5 at Canberra, before Sri Lanka engage in a full series to South Africa soon afterwards.
Both Sri Lanka and Australia will be meeting after facing series defeats against New Zealand and India respectively.
