Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to create a provision for the post of Honorary Vice President in its Executive Committee, which is reserved for the nominated representative of the School Cricket Association.
Issuing a press release, SLC said that the decision was made following the Extraordinary General Meeting yesterday (May 12) "in keeping with the provisions of the Sports Regulations".
This is the first time in which the School Cricket Association has been given the opportunity to be represented in SLC's Executive Committee, SLC's press release said.
Meanwhile, the Annual General Meeting on the local cricketing body was held yesterday and has been adjourned until the financial accounts for last year is certified and received from the Auditor General.
