The Moors Islamic Cultural Home (MICH) will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a 'Pot Black' Snooker Tournament this weekend.
The tournament will be held from Friday (30) to Sunday (1) at the MICH premises in Dematagoda, with the participation of over 100 cueists.
The winner is set to receive a trophy and a cash award of Rs. 50,000 while the runners-up will receive handsome cash rewards.
Omar Kamil, the President of MICH will grace awards ceremony on Sunday as chief guest, while Zulky Passela, the President of Billiards and Snooker Association of Sri Lanka, will be the guest of honour.
MICH is known to produce Sri Lanka's first-ever World Cup winner, M.J.M. Lafir, who won the World Billiards Championship in 1973.
