The Luxe Asia sponsored 32nd Travel Trade Sports Club Swimming Championships 2016 will be held today (22) at the Thurstan College Pool, from 9.30am onwards.
The meet was earlier scheduled for December 3, 2016, at the same venue, but had to be postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.
The Meet, governed by the technical rules of the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU), will be for Men and Women, conducted under Novices and Championship in the following age groups.
Novices: 18-29, 30-39 and 40 and over.
Championships: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 and 40 and over.
SriLankan Airlines are the reigning team Champions, but will face stiff opposition from Cinnamon City Hotels, Walkers-Whittalls and Club Bentota.
This will be the penultimate event in the TTSC 2016 Sports Calendar, having completed Carrom, Archery, Bowling, Soccer '7s', Badminton, Softball Cricket 'Sixes', Pool, Hardball Cricket 'Sixes' and Beach Tag Rugby. the final event- Beach Volleyball - will be on February 11 at Aluthgama.
