St. Joseph's College and Mahamaya Girls' School Kandy retained their titles at the 45th Milo All-Island Schools Swimming and Diving Championship 2018 concluded at the Sugathadasa Swimming Complex on Sunday (10).
St. Joseph's secured 607 points to emerge overall champions in the Boy's category for the 15th year running while Mahamaya GS emerged overall champions in the Girls' category for the 20th consecutive year with a tally of 527 points.
In the Boy's category Ananda College with 425 points finished overall second, ahead of Royal College (284), Trinity College (236) and Dharmaraja College (209).
Mahamaya GS was closely challenged by Visakha Vidyalaya, who also secured 527 points to emerge runners-up, while Lyceum International School Wattala (274), Musaeus College (237) and Srimavo Bandaranayke Girls' School (228.5) followed respectively.
Lyceum International School Wattala claimed 388 points to top the Combined Schools category ahead of Lyceum Nugegoda (290.5), Lyceum Panadura (99), British School in Colombo (73) and Asian International School (71).
Royal College secured the Boy's Diving Championship with 208 points comfortably as Thurstan College (39) and S. Thomas’ College (31) finished at second and third respectively.
Bishops' College claimed the Girls' Diving Championship with 119 points ahead of St. Bridget's Convent (97) and Lyceum International Wattala (34).
