The 31st Travel Trade Sports Club (TTSC) Swimming Championships 2015 will be held on Saturday (21) at the Thurstan College Complext commencing 1.30pm.
To make the meet more competitive, TTSC has increased the number of events to 95 from 51.
The will be under the control of officials from the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU), the local governing body for aquatic sports in Sri Lanka.
It will be conducted for Men and Women in three categories, namely Novices, Championship and Veterans on a team championship basis.
The Novices events will be conducted under three age categories: 18 to 29, 30 to 39 and 40 to 49.
The championship events will be conducted in six age categories: 18 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44 and 45 to 49.
The Veterans will be for men and women over 50.
A gold medal will be presented to swimmers of all age categories.
The 13 teams who have sent in their entries so far are: SriLankan Airlines, combined team from Walkers Tours and Whittalls Travels, Cinnamon Wild, Yala, Luxe Asia, Cinnamon City Hotels, Emirates, Hemas Travels, Hunnas Falls, Kandy, Taj Samudra, Viluxur Holidays, Diethlam Travels, Club Bentota and Waters Edge.
