The Central Province Table Tennis Championship played for the SMS Challenge Trophy began on Wednesday (5) at the Jagath Rajapaksa International Table Tennis Complex in Peradeniya, Kandy. The tournament, held for the second successive year and conducted by the Kandy District Table Tennis Association ends on Thursday (6). Over 40 schools will take part in the tournament with over 500 players expected to compete from the districts of Kandy, Matale and Nawalapitiya. The age categories of the tournament will be Under-8, 10, 12, 15, 18 for girls and boys and Open events for men, women and veterans.
