Adithya Karunaratne won the Girls Singles of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Under-18 Tournament played at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) courts in Colombo on Sunday (11). The 13-year-old tennis prodigy, now settled in Hong Kong with her parents, beat second seed Angela Raman of Indian in the final by two sets to one, to a score of 6-7 (4), 6-2, 6-0. Third seed Ondrej Styler from Czech Republic beat Tsubasa Kato of Japan 6-0, 6-2 to win the Boys’ Singles title. The Girls Doubles championship went to Chantal Sauvant of Germany and Lian Tran of the Netherlands who beat the Chinese Taipei duo Ling Hsuan Wei and Ting-Chieh Wei, 6-1, 7-6 (4).
