The Tamil Union Open Ranking Tennis Tournament, conducted annually by Tamil Union Cricket and Athletic Club, will begin on Friday (22) at its tennis courts in Borella.
The competition is sanctioned by the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) and is held for the third consecutive throughout 10 days from Friday.
The tournament ends on January 31.
Events to be held are Girls and Boys Under-10, 12 and 14 Singles and Girls and Boys Under-14 Doubles with Head coming forward as the official ball and 3G Sports as main sponsors.
Entries will close today (19) at 2.00pm and the draw including seedings will be displayed from 9.00pm onwards after the official draw to be held on Tuesday (20) at 8.00pm.
All the matches will be officiated by SLTA qualified umpires.
