Ananda College Colombo reached the final of the Schools Under-17 Division I cricket tournament after beating Trinity College by 58 runs at the R. Premadasa Stadium on Friday (21). Ananda captain Sammu Ashan made a run-a-ball 70 with four boundaries and five sixes and took six wickets to help his side beat reigning title holders Trinity. Batting first Ananda posted 200 runs and bowled out Trinity for 142 runs. The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has interdicted Colombo Fort Magistrate Kosala Senadheera.
The Supreme Court today refused interim relief in an application filed by President’s Counsel Senaka Walgampaya seeking an Order from the Supreme Court compelling the President to appoint judges to fill the existing vacancies in the Court Of Appeal.
The deadline for online applications to the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination has been extended until July 12, the Department of Examinations said.
