The All-Island Inter-School Under-17 Football Tournament, played for the Sam Chandrasinghe for the 14th consecutive year, will be held this weekend (25 and 26), at the Racecourse ground in Colombo.
A total of 48 school teams will participate in this two-day tournament which is sanctioned by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Schools Football Association.
The Tournament is sponsored by Sam Chandrasinghe, a former football player of Ananda College, currently a businessman based in the United Kingdom.
Besides the main trophy, championships for Plate and Bowl segments will be held.
Individual awards will be on offer for the best player and best goalkeeper as well.
The Football Wing of Ananda College Colombo are the organisers of the event.
