Sri Lanka had to walk out as Plate champions at the 2nd Asian Schools Under-18 7s Rugby Championship after recording a smashing 33-7 win against Singapore at the Kings Park in Hong Kong on Sunday (24).
Sri Lanka had to suffer a 12-19 defeat at the hands of eventual winners Hong Kong in the Cup semi-finals.
Sri Lanka recorded resounding wins against Cambodia (53-0), Mongolia (52-0), Malaysia (29-21) and Thailand (19-12) to top Pool 'B' before entering the Cup semi-finals.
Hong Kong went onto win the Cup final beating Thailand 14-7 for the second time running.
