U-19 Cricket: South meets North Western in SLC Super Provincial final

Southern Province will meet North Western Province in the final of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Super Under-19 Provincial Cricket Tournament final which will be played from Wednesday (11) at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. 

Both teams are fairly balanced with contributors equally matched but Southern Province have the upper hand on performance. 

North Western Province have been performing as a unit and if they can continue the same form during the three-day final a win will be a possibility.  

SLC has marked a budget of Rs. 26 Million for this tournament which it terms as the platform to unearth talent for the future national prospects. 

Both teams qualified for the final after leading their respective groups at the end of the first round where ten teams participated in two groups.

The winning team will receive Rs. 300,000 as cash award while the runner-up is slotted to receive Rs. 200,000. 

The player of the final will receive Rs. 25,000 while Rs. 10,000 each were presented for the man of the match of each game throughout the tournament.

Southern Province (from): Chathura Milan, Navindu Nirmal, Kavish Kumara, Amindu Mendis, Ashen Bandara, Kavindu Ediriweera, Dhananjaya Lakshan, Hareen Buddhika, Prashan Kumara, Dilum Sudeera, Nipun Ranshitha, Thilanga Udeshan.

North Western Province (from): Nipun Dananjaya, Keshan Wanniarachchi, Suwarasiri Wanninayake, Damitha Silva, Heshan Danushka, R.K. Ranasinghe, Ashan Dakshitha, Kamesh Nirmal, Tharindu Vimukthi, Dilshan Kollure, Kaveen Bandara, P.S. Ganegama, P.M. Dharmadasa.
