Sri Lanka Under-19s salvaged for a draw against South Africa Under-19s in the First Youth Test match ended at the P. Sara Oval ground in Colombo today (25).
At close of play Sri Lanka, chasing 277 runs, were 158-3 in their second innings after South Africa declared their second innings at 250-6.
Sri Lanka were sitting pretty after the first day after bowling out South Africa for 206.
However the hosts fell short by 26 runs after being bowled out for 180 by the young Proteas.
The second match between the two sides will be played from June 28 to 30 at the Welagedara Stadium in Kurunegala.
