U-19 Cricket: Sri Lanka picks 15-man squad for Youth Tests against Bangladesh

The selection committee of Sri Lanka Cricket named a 15-man Sri Lanka Under-19s squad for the two Youth Tests against Bangladesh Under-19s which will begin this week.   The selectors have retained Richmond College allrounder Charith Asalanka as the captain while Avishka Fernando of St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa will as as the deputy skipper.   The first three-day Youth ODI will be played from Wednesday (28) to Friday (30) at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium followed by the second game at Pallekele from February 2 to 4.   Sri Lanka Under-19s for Youth Tests: Charith Asalanka (Captain/ Richmond College), Avishka Fernando (St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa), Kaveen Bandara (D.S Senanayake College), Shalindu Ushan (Isipathana College), Vishad Randika (Isipathana College), Shammu Ashan (Ananda College), Nushan Weerasinghe (Trinity College), Lahiru Kumara (Trinity College), Asitha Fernando (St. Sebastian’s College Katuneriya), Malinga Amarasinghe (Nalanda College), Ravindu Tillekaratne (NCC Colombo), Damith Silva (Maliyadeva College Kurunegala), Nishan Peiris (St. Peter’s College Negombo), Himesh Ramanayake (Royal College Colombo), Tiran Dhanapala (Royal College Colombo).
