U-19 Cricket: Wesley take on St. Mary's Kegalle in Schools Div II final

Wesley College Colombo will take on St. Mary's College Kegalle in the final of the Singer Schools Under-19 Division II Cricket Championship at the Pallekele International Stadium beginning today (8).

The match will continue till Sunday (10).

Wesley, who topped Group 'C' after the first round, reached the pre-quarter-final and beat St. Sebastian's College Katuneriya on first innings points.

Wesley, led by Andrew Parais, beat St. Anthony's College Katugastota in the quarter-final and Sri Dharmaloka College Kelaniya by 7 wickets in the semi-final.

St. Mary's Kegalle finished at third in Group 'D' and beat St. John's College Jaffna in the pre-quarter-final.

The spirited unit led by Viraj Gunathilake beat Sri Devananda College Ambalangoda in the quarter-final and followed their form by gaining first innings points against St. Anne's College Kurunegala in the semi-final.

Both teams will be eligible to play in Division I from next season.
