The Milo President's Cup Schools Under-20 Knockout Rugby Championship officially kicks off on Saturday (25) but without any action as anticipated.
The opening quarter-final game was scheduled to be played between Singer Schools League champions, Isipathana College and bottom seed D.S. Senanayake College on Saturday (25) at the CR and FC ground.
But Isipathana not has received free passage to the semi-final stage after D.S. Senanayake decided to pull out of the competition in the eleventh hour due to injuries to their key players.
However action will be back on track when the second game is set to be played as planned between St. Peter's College and Anthony's College, who replaces Science College, on Sunday (26).
Royal College will take on Wesley College in the third quarter-final on Monday (27) followed by the fourth qualifier on Tuesday (28) between League runners-up S. Thomas' College and Plate runners-up Zahira College.
The semi-finals will be played on July 2 and 3 and the final is scheduled for July 9.
The Premier Trophy and Chairman's Trophy segments will kick off from June 29.
The quarter-final matches will be played at Longdon Place while the semi-finals and finals are set to be played at the Royal College Sports Complex.
