Hong Kong beat Sri Lanka 29-15 in the Cup final played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the first leg of the championship on Sunday (16). Sri Lanka beat hosts Malaysia in the Cup semi-final 17-12 to qualify for the final after beating United Arab Emirates 36-7 in the quarterfinal. In the first round played on Saturday (15), Sri Lanka beat Thailand 31-5 and lost to Hong Kong 19-24. The second leg of the Asian Under-20 7s Rugby Championship will take place in Hong Kong this weekend.
