Sri Lanka Army and MAS Casualine Mawatagama won the Men’s and Women’s Super League Championships respectively at the 32nd Rupavahini Volleyball Championships at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo today (22).
Army beat Air Force 3-0 with set scores of 25-23, 29-27 and 25-20 in the Men’s final as Casualine went on to beat SL Army 3-0 with set scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-14 in the Women’s final.
K.S.L. Kelaniyage of SL Army and R.A.A. Chathuni of MAS Casualine were named as the Best Player in the Men’s and Women’s categories respectively.
In the Men’s Champion Trophy Ekamuthu Youth SC Hambantota beat Ruwanwella Rajasinghe Youth SC 3-1 with set scores of 22-25, 26-24, 25-22 and 28-26 in the final.
U.G. Eranga of Ekamuthu Youth SC was named Best Player in this category.
In the Women’s Champion Trophy Biyagama Siriparakum Youth SC beat Rathanapala Youth SC Mahauswewa 3-1 with set scores of 25-11, 24-26, 25-22 and 28-8 in the final.
Nimesha Sewwandi Gunawardana of Siriparakum Youth SC was named Best Player.
