The Travel Trade Sports Club (TTSC) will bring down the curtain on its 2016 Sports calendar, on its 40th anniversary, with the 10th Beach Volleyball Championships, sponsored by Mt. Lavinia Hotel Group and hosted by Club Bentota, for the fifth successive year, will be held on Saturday (11), at Club Bentota’s Paradise Island Beach, Aluthgama, from 8.30am onwards.
Entries will close on Friday (3) at 3.00pm, with TTSC General Secretary, Anushka Perera, C/o. Connaissance de Ceylan, 'Le Cube', 130, High Level Road, Kirulapone, Colombo 6.
In the previous tournament held at the same venue on February 6, 2016 it was a home affair in the 'Cup' Championship final with Club Bentota 'A' beating their 'B' team.
Sri Lankan Airlines 'A' and 'B' won the 'Plate' and 'Bowl' Championship respectively, beating Club Bentota 'C' and Bentota Beach Hotel respectively.
The other 11 other events conducted were Carrom, Archery, Bowling, Soccer, Badminton, Softball and Hardball Cricket, Pool, Beach Tag Rugby and Swimming.
