Special units for 150 Base and District Hospitals
Cabinet has approved a proposal to establish special units within about 150 Base and District Hospitals capable of issuing medical certificates needed when obtaining driving licenses for light vehicles. At present, the medical certificates are only being issued by the National Transport Medical Institute. Cabinet has now decided to set up these units at hospitals to minimize the inconvenience faced by the public. We intend to expand this facility to other hospitals in future.
