The coronavirus death toll continues to rise, while cases internationally grow.
According to the John Hopkins University (JHU) data tracker the current cases stand at 28,274; with 565 deaths and 1198 recoveries. The majority of cases, deaths and recoveries, remain in the Hubei province of China, the capital Wuhan being where the new type of coronavirus was first detected. Internationally, cases now stand at 257 and are as follows:
— China: 28,017 cases, 563 deaths
— Japan: 45
— Singapore: 28
— Thailand: 25
— South Korea: 23
— Hong Kong: 21, 1 death
— Australia: 14
— Germany: 12
— United States: 12
— Malaysia: 12
— Taiwan: 11
— Vietnam: 10
— Macau: 10

— Canada: 5
— United Arab Emirates: 5
— India: 3
— Italy: 2
— Russia: 2
— Philippines: 2 cases, 1 death
