Prof. Dissanayake’s funeral today

Prof. Emeritus George Dissanayake of the Peradeniya University passed away on Friday. After a brilliant academic career at Cambridge University, Prof. Dissanayake returned to Sri Lanka to teach. He had been head of the Physics Department of the Peradeniya University for many years. His funeral will take place at 4.30 pm today at the Mahiyyawa General Cemetery, Kandy.
