A joint project initiated by Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and All India Management Association (AIMA) led to the formation of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM). ICPM is a professional body that offers a Professional Qualification and Membership for those employed in Industry, Commerce or Service sectors seeking a career progression in Management as well as for school leavers seeking opportunities in management related fields.
Those with 2 passes at Advanced level or 3 Credits at OL's with work experience are accepted for the Diploma program which consist of two semesters of 6 months each that makes a total of 1 year in duration.
Those completing the Diploma could go on to the Advanced Diploma program consisting of two semesters of 6 months duration. Successful completion of Advanced Diploma and 3 yrs. work experience will result in the grant of Associate Membership.
Text books of high quality, academic guidance and examining is handled by All India management Association (AIMA) while conduct of classes and conduct of examinations will be handled locally jointly by ICPM and CMA. Weekend classes are conducted at ICPM secretariat, No.1, Bethesda Place (Off Dickman's Road), Colombo 5, a venue that is centrally located and could be reached via public transport without any difficulty.
Those with part qualifications in other recognized courses are eligible for module and semester exemptions. Examinations are conducted twice a year in March and September.
