The war heroes of Sri Lankan forces can see Ranjan Ramanayake’s latest direction and Bevan Perera’s maiden production ‘Leader’ free of charge for two weeks from February 27.
In addition the ‘Leader’ producer also has decided to direct Rs. 1 from each ticket sold in all the theatres to Ranaviru fund which will be used for the benefit of the security personnel.
“It is through the great sacrifices made by the forces that all of us were able to get back to a cinema halls. And it is fitting that we honour them in whatever way for the sacrifices they made,” Bevan Perera told the TV Times.
“While Leader is a story about a hero who fights against injustices, the real heroes at this hour are those in the forces and we want to honour them through this film too,” the producer added.
Meanwhile Bevan also announced about his second film which he plans to release as an international production. “This was following the successful screening of ‘Leader’ in 50 cinema halls around the country, Bevan said. “I also have a plan to use a famous Indian actor for this film,” the producer said.
