International Scholar organizes the Malaysian Education Exhibition

International Scholar Education Services (Pvt) Limited (ISES) in association with Educature Malaysia is organizing the Malaysian Education Exhibition 2009 in Kandy and Colombo. On the 12th of March 2009 the exhibition will be held in Kandy at the Queens Hotel. In Colombo on the 14th & 15th of March at Trans Asia Hotel. ISES constantly strives to lay the best possible options before the prospective Sri Lankan undergraduates. It is in keeping with this policy that the Malaysian Education exhibition is organized by the ISES. Number of prestigious Malaysian institutes with foreign links are participating in this year's event.

The standard of education in Malaysia today, from the global perspective, is second to none. But what is unique about the Malaysian story is that it makes such renowned educational standards available within the Asian region and that too at a cost affordable to the average Asian student. What is even more interesting is that Malaysia is country very much similar to Sri Lanka in every respect and therefore the young students are not exposed to the liberal extremes of the western cities.

In Malaysia today the most prestigious Universities in the world are represented through their own local campuses. This is because modern Malaysia is acknowledged as the emerging educational hub, not only in Asia, but also in the international arena. The quality of education imparted by these campuses is recognized as identical to that of their respective countries of origin: so much so that there is a popular saying in the Nottigham Malaysian campus that the difference between the Degree in the Malaysian Campus and the London campus is only the fees. The University degree would not even specify the campus where the student obtained education as the standards of education is expected to be universal. There is also this TWININ facility system in operation between the campuses of International Universities that have established themselves in Malaysia. This facility enables a student to study for a few years in the campus of one country for a few years and then seek a transfer to another campus of the same University but in a different country.

The national education system in Malaysia is made up of Public and Private education networks; both covering from pre school right up to tertiary education level. Since the public education system is meant for the locals it is the Private Higher Educational Institutes (PHE) that mainly accommodates foreign students. The PHE offers the widest possible range of choices on curricula in keeping with the universal range of options available to prospective undergraduates.

. All education institutes in Malaysia are required to register themselves under the Ministry of Education as well as the (NAB) National Accreditation Board. While the Ministry regulates the education the NAB ensures the maintenance of stringent international standards and quality in education.

Malaysia is a fast developing, multi-racial and multi-cultural, country with a climate and ecology very much similar to those in Sri Lanka. According to the recent reports of the World Competitiveness Year book, Malaysia is the 17th largest trading nation in the world and the 4th most competitive nation for countries with a population of 20 million or more. The development in Malaysia during the past two decades has been extraordinary but the good thing is that the education too has kept pace with economic development.

The international Scholar Education Services has established a 'more than ordinary relationship' with Malaysia and for this the ISES has been awarded with medals under the professional service category in consecutive years by the Sri Lanka -Malaysia Business Council.

The Educational exhibition is organized with the view to offer Sri Lankan students new horizons in international education giving them an opportunity to interact with officials of recognized universities acquainting themselves with academic and other requirements for enrolment. The exhibition is endorsed by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian High Commission Sri Lanka.
