Experienced director Mohanji Ranganath’s latest teledrama ‘Yasa Isuru’ scheduled to be telecast from Sunday May 17 (today) revolves around a novel theme, the avarice of man that leads to his spiritual and social downfall.
This will be telecast weekly at premier Sunday 8.30 pm belt, the teleplay tackles a theme different to stereotyped storylines of middleclass family problems and cheap love stories.
Scripted by Athula Nishantha Kumara, ‘Yasa Isuru’ shows the life of a man who thinks that there is no life without money and wealth and what sufferings he brings about to himself and his family.
A teledrama that could be enjoyed by the whole family is played by Suminda Sirisena, Malkanthi Jayasinghe, Jagath Chamila, Semini Iddamalgoda, Iresha Lakmalee, Sanath Chandrasekara, Sanjeewa Upendra, Sudantha Tilakasiri with two young actors Jehan Srikantha and Nanditha Prasad Sirisena who are introduced to the miniscreen. Other assisting roles are played by Grace Ariyawimal, Mercy Edirisinghe, Deepani Silva, Richard Manamudali, Giriraj Kaushalya and Seetha Kumari Nanayakkara.
The music of this 45-episodic teleplay is directed by Ishani Yashodha Ranganath.
